Pulau Perhentian

Last week we went to P.Perhentian (neyn, oznur (visiting from germany)and me) pushing off from Penang to Kuala Besut friday night, arriving subuh sepii on saturday morning.

I took a bus before that to Penang from Kuala Lumpur (5hrs!) but because I was excited, tak kisahla.

So, we tumpang from Penang we hitch a ride from abe ajih and once we arrive at the jetty, eat nasik dagang, we splitted. Him and us, coz he has his thang to do, we have our thang. We met abe le, who kindly look around for a place to stay eventhough we've informed him last minute. We were lucky to find one.

during the boatride (changed into 3 boats; 1. slow 2. speed 3. small speed RM60 return trip) to get to our chalet on Coral View Island resort (RM120 pernight), I slept most of the time, coz the ride from Penang to Kuala Besut was very tiring and the rode was bumpy, of course no sleep there.

Chalet was good, I like the it, its facing the sea but on a higher ground hidden in the forest. The one exactly along the beach is too expensive! Mostly mat saleh occupied.

Sampai2, we went mandi manda, me snorkel2 but as I am a bit chicken, so I did not go anywhere my feet doesnt touch the sea floor..muuahua

end up nena as usual like a mermaid, swam so far away, I can only see her blue butt from a distance. It was a day of leisure.

The next day, on Sunday morning, we took a snorkel trip (RM35). This is actually my second time snorkeling and guess what! Hiyargghhh, its near the open sea. First time was in Sapi Island, and that was child's play lor. So the first stop was called shark's point. Guess what, you can see sharks there! Again thanks to mermaid nena helping sotong intan, I was a bit brave to put on the life jacket and jumped into the sea.

The wonders of snorkeling is that, the sea contained a lot of beautiful fishes that you can never imagine to see. I saw sharks as well, nena was a bit worried, but I think I was much more worried that I was going to drown...hahuahua...

Then next, since the cute boatdriver was hungry, plus I am getting a bit seasick because the water was kind of unsteady due to the strong waves, we stopped at an island filled with abg-abg bomba camping. That was awkward, so we quickly did our business and went of to the turtle point to see the turtles! Managed to saw a few, but they are not friendly creatures, so let's just leave them to their fun. (Nena was the only one who was brave enough to swim along the boat as we kind off have to chase after the turtle and its the open sea where you can't even see the bottom!)

Afterwards, went back to our beach, dozed off, eat keropok and took the return boat at 4pm back to Kuala Besut. I've decided to take the night bus from Kuala Besut direct to KL instead of returning via Penang. Fortunately, I bumped into Fairuz (x-school mate) at the Jetty, so we went to dinner together and I had company to chit chat before boarding the bus.

So the bus ride was crazy btw! It was an ok school bus, the aircond was so cold, but there was weird sounds coming out whenever the driver did some kona baring manouvers. At that time I just wish that I will arrive home safely.

After dozing on and off, getting my heart jerked out whenever I feel like the bus going to topple off-road, we arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 6.30 am Monday morning (bus from K.Besut at 9.30pm. Called Chip to pick up, freshen up, then went to the office at 7am from KL. Well, it seems I did make it! I arrive around 7.45 am with the help of one of the most expensive highway, PLUS.

My thinking is that, it is possible to go off on a trip on weekends and still be back in the office on Monday morning feeling refreshed! hahah..provided the trip not the physical type la kot. Coz I can still remember my one and only weekend trip to Tirol for skiing, which does not end well. We were bruised and almost died (exagerated) when we return to Heilbronn.

So friends! jom pi jalan2! (erm...not too often though..haha..kopakla nanti kan)
